I spent a lot of time on this last problem set, and the score was low. I am willing to accept this right now, because I spent a lot of that time studying the problems, trying to see why the advantage was gained in a lot of tactics, or if there was a forced mate, what prevented me from seeing the mate, or trying to memorize the mating pattern. As I have said before, many of these problems are about gaining the advantage against your opponent, and I do not find this easy to grasp yet. Further, sometimes I do not see the most obstinate defense, and I imagine that is also part of the entire process. Take it easy.

Where are you getting the problems from?
See my link 'Ossimitz Chess Collections'. I have been double checking them with Fritz after each problem, and they are quite accurate. Sometimes the pgn does not show best move, but that is generally to demonstrate the tactic. It's in there as the '3500 chess problems' item. I have busted it up and am using it in my application as a tactics service, so to say.
i was wondering whether or not i would ever get the chess program that you said you were making. How far along are you? and is it a program that we load onto our computers? i'd love to know more and get going on the program! Thanks for offering it.
It's a web based program. It isn't all that user friendly, and you need to know how to write in pgn format.... I think you asked for access earlier, and I lost your email. I can give you access whenever you like, all errant knights are invited.
