My Run Must End...

It is unfortunate, but I have many obligations these days, and after my two week vacation out of town, my run is at an end. I will not complete this, but I really enjoyed trying. I'm still not eating meat, still meditating and doing yoga, and still playing chess. And hey, I'm still a bleeding heart liberal, Celtic Death. A large reason that I believe that way is that I think that the government should control things that the public sector does badly. Education, Protecting the poor, etc. You mentioned something about the medical industry in your last post to me, and I just wanna say that recent studies have shown that the private sector is terrible at the medical industry. People in America pay more and visit the doctor less than any other industrialized country. This is all the proof that I need. F their profits, make it public, or regulate it... heavily. People NEED quality health care. Heck, even with health insurance, a trip to the emergency room for a scratch on my eye cost me $290. Without insurance, it would have cost me $1000. I work for a company with 10,000+ employees, and for my family (me, my daughter, my wife), I have to pay $230 a month for health insurance. This is ridiculous. Next, our treatment of the people of the world is extremely questionable, when you look at the way that we send out loans and force countries to pay it off forever, when ultimately all it was is a payoff for high level officials. Then we don't do anything to help people, unless we have an economic advantage from it. This is simply ethical corruption. Further (whoa, now I'm on a rampage), we are terribly gluttonous people, eating and consuming a minor majority of the worlds goods (25-33%), when we make up only 5% of the worlds population. I don't find us deserving. Oh, well, I may post here later, but nothing about the circles. Sorry I've been so busy lately. Perhaps I'll have time for a few games, but man, life calls, you know.
